We have recently reviewed a Glutathione product called L-Glutathione, which is made by GNC. This is a very popular and trusted brand, which we were very happy to sample. Although, we can’t say we noticed much of a difference as it was only short term, so it would be interesting to hear from long-term users to find out more about its benefits. Read on for our review.
Value – 3.1
L-Glutathione provides 60 capsules per container and it is only slightly above the price of other Glutathione products we have reviewed. GNC charges $43.99 for new users on their website and provides 500mg of Glutathione per capsule. This works out at 73¢ per serving.
Taste/Flavor – 2.6
As L-Glutathione is available in capsules, there is no specific flavor. In our opinion, we found this to be true; there was no taste or aftertaste when we tried this supplement. We found that they were average sized capsules that were easy to swallow with water. It was generally not troublesome to take. Some people may prefer a powder or liquid that they can mix into a drink, but we thought that a capsule form was quick and easy and saved you disliking the flavour. Of course, this is just our opinion and we encourage you to leave a comment and let us know your thoughts about this product.
Nutrition – 3.2
Finally, the last section regards the nutritional component. L-Glutathione contains 500mg of Setria L-Glutathione. Setria is a unique tripeptide form of glutathione that has been shown to raise blood glutathione levels. This means that this supplement can provide better antioxidant protection, detoxification, and potential benefits for your skin. However, GNC has not added any other beneficial ingredients, like other Glutathione products we have reviewed. This is somewhat disappointing, as ingredients such as alpha lipoic acid, n-acetyl cysteine and l-carnitine are powerful Glutathione producing precursors. These would really maximize this Glutathione product and its effects, especially for cellular health, liver function and energy production. On a positive note, this Glutathione product is free from artificial colours and flavours and is also free from gluten, corn and soy.

In our opinion, it is a bonus that GNC offer a 30-day money back guarantee on L-Glutathione. This means if you are not happy, you don’t need to worry and you can get a complete refund. It also deserves credit for being a kosher product, suitable for vegetarians and being free from gluten, for those with restricted diets. However, a point deduction is necessary for the lack of precursor ingredients that are provided with other products.
