MaxGXL by Max International. After hearing a lot of about this company, we thought we would try this product for ourselves. As far as we can tell, there is only one 60 serving sized bottle of this product available. Let’s dive into the review and grade this supplement.
Value – 4.0
We were a little surprised at the $54.99 price tag on this Glutathione product. Even though it has 180 capsules, it contains 60 servings, which is the same as most of the other products we have reviewed. It is also not clear how much Glutathione it actually contains to merit this price tag. We worked this out at 92¢ per serving, one of the more expensive products.
Taste/Flavor – 3.4
Now for the subjective category of the review. As this product comes in capsule form, we thought it shouldn’t have a taste and indeed it didn’t. In our opinion, the capsules were a manageable size. They weren’t too big and with the capsule shape, they were easy enough to get down. We would say they were about an average size and what you would expect. However, if you have trouble swallowing pills, this might not be the product for you. As this is just our opinion, we would love to hear your thoughts and what you think about the capsule size.
Nutrition – 3.8
The lack of information about the patented MaxGXL formula, hinders this product. It is quoted to dramatically increase intracellular levels of Glutathione with increases of up to 292%. However, the link to the clinical study doesn’t work and we couldn’t find a lot of information about this product. We don’t know what form of glutathione is used or the dosage and this can affect its quality. This is a disappointment, as MaxGXL provides several great nutrients for promoting the body’s own ability to make and absorb Glutathione. While some other products we have reviewed have added alpha lipoic acid and milk thistle extract, MaxGXL goes that extra step by also adding vitamin C, l-glutamine, n-acteyl cysteine, cordyceps, n-acetyl d-glucosamine and quercetin. This product provides great Glutathione precursors and all of these ingredients are brilliant for strengthening the immune system, supporting the liver and aiding your overall health. However, it does contain ingredients derived from shellfish, which some people can be allergic to.
Extra Credit Points or Additional Grade Point Deductions
Extra credit should be given as this product is manufactured in the USA. It has also been the best product we have reviewed for additional ingredients and deserves credit for this. However, we would deduct a grade points because of the trouble we had finding where to order this product, as the Max International website links don’t work properly. Also, the lack of information about the Glutathione that is used is a serious negative and reduces the grade of this product.
